How to Create an SMS Template

SMS templates provide pre-set messages that simplify communication by saving time and maintaining uniformity in frequently sent texts. They are particularly beneficial for streamlining common messages, allowing quick dispatch without the need to manually compose each one.

Accessing the Template Section:


1. Begin by navigating to the desired sub-account or location where you want to set up the SMS template.


2. Go to the "Marketing" tab, and then click on "Templates" located at the top of the page.

3. Press the green "Add Template" button and choose "Add Text Template" from the dropdown menu.

Composing Your SMS Template:


1. Assign your template a name that clearly reflects its content.


2. Write your message in the text field provided. You can personalize the message by adding custom values or trigger links for more interactive communication. (For guidance on using trigger links, refer to the related how-to video.)


3. Optionally, you can enhance your message by attaching files or inserting links.

Previewing and Testing Your Template:


1. A preview will appear on the right-hand side, showing how the message will look when sent.


2. To test the message, enter a phone number in the designated test field and click "Send Test."

1. After finalizing the content, click "Save" to store the template.

Editing and Deleting Templates:


1. Your saved templates are located under the "Templates" section.


2. To make changes to an existing template, click the "Edit" icon beside the desired template.


3. If you want to delete a template, simply click the "Delete" icon.

Inserting a Template into Conversations:


1. Navigate to the "Conversations" tab when responding to a message using an SMS template.


2. Click on the "SMS" option and select the "Insert Template" icon to access the template selection menu.

1. From the dropdown list, browse and select your preferred template.


2. Click on "Use Template" to automatically insert the chosen message into the conversation.

    Ensure you're working within the correct sub-account or location, as templates are specific to where they were created.

    You can quickly test different templates by sending them to your own number or a test number to check how they appear upon receipt.
