How to Add a New Custom Field

To tailor your data fields to your needs, you can create custom values. Start by selecting the “Create New Field” button located in the top-right corner of your screen. A new text box will appear, allowing you to input the name, value, and folder for your custom field. Here’s what to do:

  • Assign a clear, descriptive name that represents the purpose of the custom value.

  • Enter the specific information that you want to link with this custom value.

  • Organize the field by placing it into a relevant folder.

  • Save your settings to store the custom value in the system.

This section is where the label or name assigned to your custom value is displayed. This name serves as an identifier, helping you easily find and apply the custom value when needed within your operations.

Organizing with Folders

To streamline your workflow, related custom values can be grouped together. The Folder feature allows for better organization, making it easier to locate and manage custom values based on their classifications.

Unique Identifiers: Keys

Each custom value you create is assigned a unique system-generated key. This key acts as an identifier, crucial for referencing when you need to access or use the specific custom value in your system.

Assigning Values

The value is the specific piece of information or data that you want the system to display when a particular custom value is selected. For example, if you have a custom value labeled as a phone number, you must input the actual phone number here for the system to use it correctly.
