The Manual SMS function is designed to create a task that prompts a designated team member to send an SMS directly to a contact. These tasks can be found under Contacts > Manual Actions. This feature is particularly useful for ensuring that a follow-up message is sent after a specific event occurs.
Setting Up Manual Actions in Workflow
Assigning Tasks to Users
To assign manual actions within your CRM, first link the intended user to a specific workflow or campaign. This is achieved through the "Assign to User" action within the workflow or campaign setup.
Workflow Assignment
Upon adding this step to your workflow, it will be visually represented as shown in the image. From here, any subsequent manual tasks will be automatically assigned to the designated user.
Incorporating Manual Actions
Once the user is assigned through the workflow or campaign, you can start adding manual actions. To add a manual SMS, click the + icon and choose the Manual SMS option.
Utilizing Templates
You have the option to use pre-existing message templates by selecting the Templates field in your workflow and choosing from the available options within your CRM.
Crafting Custom Messages
For personalized messaging, you can type directly into the Message field. You can also include specific custom values, such as the contact's name, by selecting the Custom Values option.
Adding Attachments
To attach a file to your message, click on the green "Add Attachment" button and select the file from your computer.
Including Files via URL
Alternatively, you can include files by entering a URL into the designated field and clicking the "+Add" button to attach it.
Finalizing Manual Actions in Workflow
Once your manual actions are integrated into the workflow, they will appear as shown in the image, allowing you to select and edit the Manual SMS task as needed.
